Pastel waters of Loutro

DSCF2162.jpg

One of my favourite places has to be the tiny cove town of Loutro, Crete. It's a beautifully place in itself and a special Island full of great food, beaches and winding roads that lead to relaxation and friendly locals. We usually try to go once a year for the sheer simplicity of the getaway and this trip was my first two years ago...maybe 2014 even.

The following photos were taken with my Fuji XT1 and the great 18mm f2 pancake lens, my previous camera the XE2 around that time had been a great tool but would hunt to focus, the battery life would be strange and disappear almost all the time. Finally that camera never felt right in the hand. Buttons were too densely packed together and I just didn't enjoy it. The XE3 however looks pretty amazing in terms of form factor and button layout. I would love to see what the touch screen is like too.

Some pictures were also taken with my 35mm f1.4 lens, both used around f2 to f8, Std profile with NR on with I now regret. All Jpegs, edited in Lightroom with VSCO packs and my own preset adjustments for a warm, faded almost classic chrome look. Enjoy, share and leave a comment!!
